Delete your Seimai account

This page explains how to delete your account and the data associated with it in Seimai, the app published by SW6 LTD (company number 11900842), registered in England and Wales.

Delete from inside the app

The quickest way is to delete your account yourself. It takes effect immediately and needs no approval from us:

1. Open Seimai and sign in.
2. Go to Settings → Account.
3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

Request deletion by email

If you have uninstalled the app, or you cannot sign in, you can ask us to delete your account instead. Email support@seimai.app from the email address you registered with, and ask us to delete your account.

We will confirm and action your request without undue delay, and in any event within one month of receiving it. We may ask you to verify your identity first, so that nobody else can delete your account on your behalf.

What is deleted

Deleting your account removes your account and the content tied to it, including:

• your profile — email address, display name, handle and bio;
• your notes and highlights, including any you published, and your comments;
• your likes, bookmarks, saved summaries and follows;
• your chats with the AI about videos;
• your app settings and registered devices, including push-notification tokens.

You are signed out on every device and can no longer sign in. Your published notes and comments are removed from public view straight away.

What we keep, and why

A small amount of data outlives the deletion, because the law requires it or allows it:

• Payment and subscription records — we are required to keep records of transactions for tax and accounting purposes, and we may need them to answer a billing dispute or chargeback. These are kept without your name or email attached.
• Content reports — if your content was reported and reviewed by a moderator, we keep a record of that report, as set out in section 4 of our Terms of Service. This lets us respond to complaints and enforce our rules consistently.
• Abuse-prevention data — a device identifier that stops the same device from claiming repeated free trials, and, if we have banned your account, a one-way hash of your email so the ban still applies if you sign up again. We do not use either to identify you or to contact you.
• System logs — retained briefly for security and debugging.

We do not keep this data to identify you, and we do not use it to contact you or to rebuild your account. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
